Our understanding of steatohepatitis is shifting, with new nomenclature reflecting a more comprehensive array of metabolic disorders; once classified as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, it is now metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) — encompassing a spectrum of hepatic conditions related to metabolic disorders, which allows us to address and treat the condition holistically.
