Richard Bennett is Senior Director and Therapeutic Strategy Lead in the Neuroscience franchise at Worldwide Clinical Trials. With two decades in the industry, he has advanced through the traditional clinical operations roles such as clinical research associate and clinical trial manager and has spent many years as a leader of clinical development programs in both the larger pharma and biotech setting. He has worked on neuromuscular disorders, rare diseases, critical care, pain and palliative care, dermatology, and epidemiology programs. His direct experience working with large pharma and small and emerging biotech firms has given him a deep understanding of the needs of our sponsors.

Richard Bennett has worked in the clinical trial space for more than two decades. His clinical trial experience covers a range of therapeutic areas, including neuromuscular disorders, rare diseases, critical care, pain and palliative care, dermatology, and epidemiology. Entering the industry with early roles as clinical trial monitor and clinical trial associate, he progressed through roles in management and leadership where he was responsible for study design and clinical program oversight. In his position as Clinical Lead for the eczema portfolio at LEO Pharma, he had responsibility for the clinical development plans which included more than 30 clinical trials across two strategic programs. He has worked with adult and pediatric patient populations and has supported trials in all phases.
He acquired hands-on early phase and translational clinical experience while working in a clinical pharmaceutical unit for three years. His late phase clinical trial experience includes planning, design, and management of Phase II and III studies and supporting real-world evidence and early access programs. His various roles have found him in clinical environments, large pharmaceutical organizations, and smaller biotech companies. In his role as Senior Director and Therapeutic Strategy Lead in the Neuroscience franchise at Worldwide Clinical Trials, Richard works with the Neuroscience team to develop and execute clinical trial strategies and solutions for smaller, complex studies, as well as multi-service global projects.
