Paul Isherwood

Paul brings more than 15 years of experience in patient recruitment, engagement, and insights-driven trial strategy to his role at Worldwide Clinical Trials. As Director of Patient & Site Engagement, Paul works to advance a more insights-driven approach to clinical research by integrating perspectives from both investigator sites and patients. He helps to shape trials that are more patient-centered and operationally feasible. Since joining Worldwide, Paul has expanded his remit to include the Site Alliance team, deepening the organization’s ability to draw on two complementary sources of expertise. He believes that investigator sites provide invaluable operational knowledge in translating protocols into real-world practice across diverse countries and healthcare systems, while patient insights offer a critical understanding of disease experience, motivations, barriers, and participation challenges. Together, these perspectives inform study designs that work.
