Joy Clark, Chief People Officer at Worldwide Clinical Trials, drives the human experience within Worldwide by building the company’s uncommon culture of engaged, committed, and well-rounded team members. She has built her career in human resources leadership at high-tech, high-growth companies, where transformation and change are the norm. In her role at Worldwide, she leads talent acquisition and development, global human resources services, and employee engagement initiatives.
ABOUT JOY CLARK
As Chief People Officer, Joy Clark works with Worldwide’s global HR organization to drive the “human experience,” building a culture that attracts and retains the best talent in the world and creating the systems, tools, processes, and employee engagement activities that enable teams to perform at their best.
Joy’s professional experience includes being an accomplished change agent and a trusted strategic partner, with a collaborative spirit and a passion for building teams and working within organizations with values-driven cultures. Prior to joining Worldwide, Joy led the HR function for Valassis Digital, an advertising and marketing intelligence company, where she was responsible for building its people organization from scratch into a scalable strategic function. She also led a variety of HR functional areas and initiatives for companies like Cree, Sony Ericsson, Penske, and QVC.
Joy holds a degree in political science and Spanish from Rutgers University, attended the University of North Carolina for human resources, and holds a certificate in business coaching from North Carolina State University. She has been a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2001.
Joy is passionate about bringing out the best the Worldwide workforce has to offer, and she is equally passionate about her life and interests outside of Worldwide. She is a proud mom of three, an avid hiker, and loves the outdoors. She is also fluent in Spanish and is Reiki certified.
