Claire Marsden serves as Therapeutic Strategy Lead, Internal Medicine at Worldwide Clinical Trials. She brings more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, and clinical technology sectors. Her expertise spans all phases of clinical development and a broad range of therapeutic areas, including neuroscience, cardiovascular, metabolic, oncology, and general medicine. Throughout her career, she has led the design and delivery of innovative clinical trial solutions that address the evolving demands of drug development, with a strong focus on therapeutic strategy, operational excellence, and global team leadership.

Most recently, Claire spent over four years at Medable in senior leadership roles, culminating as Senior Vice President of Customer Success. In this role, she led a global team of Customer Success Leaders accountable for customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth through the successful adoption and deployment of digital trial solutions. Prior to this, she served as Vice President of Delivery, where she led a global project management organization responsible for delivering high-quality digital solutions on time and within budget across a diverse pharmaceutical and biotechnology client base.

Before joining Medable, Claire spent over a decade with Covance Clinical Development Services, advancing through a series of Executive Director roles of increasing strategic scope and responsibility. As Executive Director, Global Therapeutic Area Portfolio Lead, she led initiatives to drive business growth across therapeutic areas through the development of competitive clinical trial solutions. She also fostered strategic relationships with clients, key opinion leaders, and vendor partners, and contributed to shaping and implementing the global clinical development leadership vision. Claire holds a PhD in Neuroendocrinology from the University of Reading, where her research focused on the regulation of luteinizing hormone production in the anterior pituitary gland. She also earned a Bachelor of Science with Second Class Honours (First Division) in Biology from the University of Southampton. In addition, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
