With more than 17 years of experience as a Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, Clinical Scientist, and Clinical Development/Program Lead, Brett English brings deep expertise in Central Nervous System (CNS) drug development. At Worldwide, Brett leads therapeutic strategy for neuroscience, drawing on a career spent directing investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored Phase I-III clinical trials.

Brett most recently served as Global, Senior Clinical Program Lead at Boehringer-Ingelheim, where he provided strategic leadership across a global Phase III program evaluating a novel GlyT1 inhibitor for cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia (CIAS). In this role, he designed and executed multiple enabling trials supporting the program's Evidence Plan and target product profile, later transitioning to early development initiatives within the Mental Health therapeutic area.
Brett's biotech experience includes serving as Functional Head of Early Development at Dart Neuroscience and Senior Director of Clinical Development at Arena Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Pfizer), where he provided scientific and medical leadership for CNS assets from Phase I-IIb. In both roles, he applied multi-modal biomarker approaches to de-risk assets and characterize proof-of-mechanism. Brett also brings CRO and site-network perspective from his time at Parexel and Apex/CenExel, where he worked as a Sub-Investigator and Clinical Scientist focused on CNS and translational medicine.
Brett is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, having served as a medical officer in numerous domestic and overseas operational environments over the past 25 years.
Brett holds a PharmD from Samford University and a PhD from Vanderbilt University school of Medicine.
