Marcin Ernst, President of Internal Medicine at Worldwide Clinical Trials, brings more than two decades of leadership experience in global clinical development and operations. He has overseen large-scale therapeutic programs and managed complex clinical trials across multiple regions. Marcin most recently served at Ora Clinical, where he held dual leadership roles as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development Operations and Vice President of Ora Europe. He maintained overall accountability for biometrics, clinical monitoring, trial master file quality, and all operations outside of North America. He led the European team across all therapeutic areas, overseeing study delivery, financial management, and team capability development while building relationships with key opinion leaders, external vendors, and industry groups.
Prior to joining Ora, Marcin distinguished himself during a remarkable seventeen-year tenure with INC Research and Syneos Health, progressing through increasingly senior roles from Project Manager to Executive Vice President and General Manager. As Executive Vice President and General Manager, he led one of Syneos Health's largest global business units, the General Medicine division. He directed a team of over 1,500 individuals across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, including Clinical Research Associates, Lead CRAs, and Project Managers overseeing therapeutic areas such as: rheumatology, dermatology, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrinology, gastrointestinal, hepatology and infectious diseases including vaccines. Previous to that Marcin supervised Inflammation and Immunology therapeutic area both as therapeutic expert and operational leader. studies globally, managed project budgets, and led the European Clinical Operations team of CRAs.
Marcin earned his Medical Degree at Warsaw Medical Academy and completed his Executive MBA through a joint program between Warsaw University and the University of Illinois School of Business at Urbana-Champaign. He also obtained a Master of Arts in Marketing and Management from Warsaw University. Marcin speaks Polish, English, and Italian fluently, is proficient in French, and leverages these skills for global leadership in clinical research.
