In 2023, Worldwide Clinical Trials was named Most Innovative Clinical Research Organization (CRO) by the Triangle Business Journal (TBJ). Neal Cutler, M.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Worldwide, was named as the “Best CEO in the CRO Industry” by European CEO Awards 2017. Since first creating Worldwide 30 years ago, Dr. Cutler has led with a steadfast commitment to the medicine and science of clinical research.
2017 CARE Lifetime Achievement Award
Michael F. Murphy, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical and Scientific Officer at Worldwide, received the Clinical Research & Excellence (CARE) 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Murphy’s exceptional contributions and his consistent history of service and dedication to the clinical research industry throughout his career.

Worldwide and its clinical research partner since 2010, Bellerophon Therapeutics, have been honored as finalists in the 2017 Clinical & Research Excellence Awards for “Clinical Partnership of the Year.” Worldwide currently supports Bellerophon with its two-year clinical development program for INOpulse, providing a broad range of contract research services.

Worldwide was ranked as the industry’s #1 provider of Overall Contract Research in the “2017 Nice Insight Preclinical and Clinical Contract Research Survey.” The survey examined market perceptions of clinical research organizations (CROs) using data collected from 608 outsourcing-facing pharmaceutical and biotechnology executives.
2016 Scrip Awards Finalist
Worldwide Clinical Trials was honored as a finalist in the prestigious 2016 Scrip Awards. Selected in the “Best Contract Research Organization – Full Service Providers” category, Worldwide was chosen by a distinguished panel of life science industry experts, and was included as a finalist among six leading, global CROs.
