Rogeria Moreira, MD, PhD, MBA, Vice President, Medical Affairs, Oncology at Worldwide Clinical Trials, has more than 25 years of experience in oncology and hematology. She has built her career across clinical development, medical affairs, and regulatory leadership roles within the global pharmaceutical and clinical research industries. Her expertise spans the development and approval of innovative therapies across tumor types, including immuno-oncology, targeted therapies, and radiopharmaceuticals.

Dr. Moreira has led complex oncology portfolios, managing global and U.S.-based teams across all phases of development, from early-phase trials through regulatory submissions and product launch. Her work includes designing and executing clinical trials, overseeing regulatory filings, leading business-critical initiatives, and guiding teams through the development of biomarker-driven strategies and diagnostics. She also brings substantial experience in due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and the formation of strategic development partnerships.
Prior to joining Worldwide, Dr. Moreira held executive leadership roles at Novartis, where she served as Executive Medical Director for Oncology, leading international medical teams and shaping global medical strategy across oncology, hematology, and radioligand therapy. She also held senior roles at Johnson & Johnson, GSK, Takeda Oncology, Eli Lilly, and ICON (formerly PRA Health Sciences), where she led Phase I–IV clinical programs and played a pivotal role in regulatory agency interactions across the U.S., EU, Latin America, and Asia.
Dr. Moreira earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and began her career as a clinical investigator. She has since served as both a sponsor and CRO leader, bringing a comprehensive perspective on the drug development process. Her ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams has contributed to multiple successful global filings and the launch of transformative cancer therapies.
Outside of work, Dr. Moreira enjoys spending time with her husband and son cooking traditional Brazilian food. She is passionate about the arts and community engagement and brings that same energy and commitment to her work in advancing oncology innovation.
