Philippa Marshall, MD, BSc, FFPM is a qualified pharmacologist and a physician, having studied for both degrees at Leeds University in the UK. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Physicians of the UK and holds a diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine. She joined WCT in March 2019 as Vice President Scientific Solutions and is based in the Netherlands. In this role she leads the strategic team acting as advisor and consultant to clients in developing and conducting clinical programmes in this area.
Dr Marshall has 30 years of experience in both the Biopharmaceutical and Contract Research environments, having worked for Glaxo, Smith Kline Beecham, NovoNordisk and Zambon in medical strategic, managerial and operational roles, giving her first-hand experience of clinical development planning, programme execution and commercialization of medicinal products for use in adults and children. She has been working in the CRO environment since 1995, with experience in several key therapy areas, including nephrology, Women’s Health, paediatrics and rare diseases, dermatology, cardiology and metabolic disorders, growth disorders, neurology and psychiatry.
At a previous company Dr Marshall initiated and led the Paediatric and Rare Disease group which provided multi-disciplinary resources for the development of paediatric study plans (US) and paediatric investigational plans (EU) across several indications and she has presented on the topic extensively.
